When U.S Funded, Armed, And Trained Moderate Opposition Fighters, Where These “Trainees” Disappeared To?
The
devastating revelations that the United States is funding a mercenary army to
overthrow Assad is nothing new especially to researchers and all those who are
paying attention to occurrence of events in the Muslim world.
The CIA has
been arming Syrian rebels for years in the name of “Jihadist”. The Pentagon admits paying modest stipends to the “Syrian moderates Jihadists”, it hopes to
field in the fight against Islamic State militants, the military confirmed. The
US is funding jihadist terrorists and mercenaries to work alongside ISIS and
al-Qaeda (if they are not members of these organizations already) to overthrow
the secular government of Bashar al-Assad. We are talking about money that the
terrorist savages are accepting for their services in barbarity and treason on
behalf of the agenda of the global political terrorism.
Even more bizarre
incident is where fighters abandon the mission after having received funds and
training from the US military to form allegiance with another shrouded
organization with mischievous motives. Why does the US continually sending deadly weapons to Middle East? Why making things more chaotic than they were
before and still convince the world that they are on the verge of success on
their mission of “war on terror”?
It seemingly
clear that the policy that backed sending more deadly weapons into the Middle
East, the fact that the support of the policy is not clear, one cannot rule out
the possibility of misleading vicious motives -
a trap set by machinery of militarism in Jihad disguise, it is a
militarism of death and destruction of innocent. The most common example of
inventing new group like “Syrian Moderates forces”, the plan to train and equip
the opposition in Syrian or any part of Middle East, in what they claimed
strengthen the opposition is best strategy to weaken the extremism of ISIS and
solve Syria’s crisis. It is just ridiculous for anyone to deny modern terrorism
is not a vicious ideology of violence that has devised to perpetuate itself
between "Terror" and "War on Terror".
The U.S. is
already training hundreds of vetted rebels in Jordan, and equipping them with weapons. Most of those rebels are fighting under the umbrella of the “Free
Syrian Army “(FSA) -- the first major opposition group to form and fight
President Bashar al-Assad's forces in Syria in 2011.
Despite the
fact that the US government has admitted that it was funding opposition
but how does it differ from funding
dreaded terrorists such as Al-Qaeda, Nusra, ISIS and other related terror
organizations in Syria - directly and indirectly?
Boko Haraam recruits receives
stipends in their fight against education in Northern Nigeria:
Thomas
Fessy from BBC News met some young men
who told him why they joined the militant group. They confided in him that Boko Haram recruits "were promised lots of money".
Educational
institutions represent the most targets for potential of terrorists’ attacks by
Boko Haraam insurgents. They want to discourage young northerners away from getting
adequate knowledge, to restrict them from exploring their individual ability
for the future. They want to discourage our younger ones from participating
into Nigerian work force. A report by Human Rights Watch states, Boko Haraam terrorist group’s attacks on
schools in the north-east Nigeria have devastating impact on education, leaving
nearly 1 million children with little or no access to school. Ideologically,
Boko Haraam is opposed to western education.
Assaults on educational institutions, reflects
the groups belief that westernization begins at schools and such education is
un-Islamic. Specifically educating girls is viewed as a sin. While boys have
been attacked either to kidnap and force them into fighting for the terrorist
group, or kill them under assault.
Attacking schools pose as an ideological
message intend to restrict center for learning in a particular region or
community. Interference of today’s academic system by some mysterious
ideological sects signals danger for the socio-economic advancement of the
affected areas. Many attacks were intended to kill, disrupt, destroy classes
and intimidate communities.
His Royal Highness, Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi's remarks when confronted about the issue of
backwardness in the Northern Nigeria:
“There was a documented policy of the
British when they came that Northern Nigeria should not be educated, it was
documented. It was British colonial policy. I have the document. I have
published articles on it. That if you educate the Northerner you will produce
progressive Muslim intellectuals of the type we have in Egypt and India. So do
not educate them. It was documented.”
According to
the Pentagon, Syrian “rebels” being trained and “vetted” by the United States
are receiving “compensation” to the tune of anywhere between $250 to $400 per
month to act as America’s proxy forces in the Middle East.
Reuters reports that the payment levels were confirmed by the Pentagon and also that
the Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter and Navy Commander Elissa Smith both
separately admitted the fact that these “new” terrorists are receiving a
stipend. Reuters also reported on alleged obstacles the Pentagon claims it is
facing regarding the ability to train the death squad volunteers due to a lack
of ability to “vet” them appropriately as well as a bizarre incident where
fighters abandon the mission after having received training from the US
military. The reason provided by the Pentagon was that the fighters did not
want to sign a contract to avoid fighting Assad. But, in the same report, the
Pentagon states that there was no such contract – only one requiring them to
“respect human rights” and “the rule of law,” so the reason provided for the
disappearance of these fighters lacks legitimacy. One can only speculate as to
where these “trainees” disappeared to.
Of course,
“human rights” and the “rule of law” have never been concerns before, even as
the United States has funded, armed, trained, and directed jihadists on the
ground from the very beginning of the Syrian crisis. Neither has there been any
concern over the presence of “moderate” rebels that have never actually existed
in Syria.
Documents show Al-Qaeda Involvement
from beginning – No Moderates Rebels fighters:
Reports by
Western mainstream media claim that Al-Qaeda, ISIL was not invented by CIA or any other such outfit, as the ridiculous
conspiracy theories would have it. In addition, that any suggestion that United
States and NATO were supporting ISIS was just conspiratorial invention. United
States own Defense Intelligence Agency was recently forced to release and declassify documents which proven that the US knew that the “rebellion” was made up of Al-Qaeda
and Nusra forces. The DIA documents also show that the US was supporting all of
these efforts. In reality, of course, the US was promoting and directing the
Syrian crisis. The documents states the Salafist – the Muslim Brotherhood, the
Nusra forces and Al-Qaeda are the major forces driving the insurgency in Syria.
These organizations and similar groups were attempting to create a dogmatic political
ideology inspired by concepts with inherently inclination to extremism and the
US is behind this mercenary army. It
should be remembered that these fighters certainly never have held such
territory and expanding further if they don’t have strong military assistance.
“Politicalized
Jihadism” evolves in Muslim environment, where societies are broken down and
living through civil wars: Afghanistan, Chechnya, Iraq and Syria are breeding
grounds for jihadists.
World powers remain divided on Syrian crisis;
this is where the key countries stand:
The conflict
in Syria has drawn in major global powers, supporting and opposing President
Bashar al-Assad. Russia
is one of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's most important international
backers and the survival of the regime is critical to maintaining Russian
interests in the country. The US supports Syria's main opposition alliance, the National Coalition,
and provides military assistance to "moderate" rebels.
The Western world, Gulf
countries, and Turkey support the opposition in Syrian political crisis; while
Russia, China, and Iran support the regime; innocent Syrian citizens are the
fatalities caused by war, directly and indirectly.
The world
communities are watching the dramatic events without giving it a thought. There
has never been any concern over the presence of “Moderate rebels” that have
never actually existed in Syria.
Don’t blame
Islam for terrorist attacks. Islam as religion does not back or explain the ideology
and the crimes of ISIS or similar groups that emerge for nefarious activities.
In addition,
let us not forget that this is a digital era, any psycho with a Twitter
account can tweet on behalf of ISIS or in support of ISIS bombing any corner in
Europe or America. And, precisely the
same tweets can be used to denounce Islam by anti-Muslim bigotry and
Islamophobic propaganda machines, their main target are the mainstream Muslims,
they further fuel the fire of xenophobic hatred, resentment, sometimes physical
assault. Now the best example of unjust aggression towards Muslims was speeches
delivered by American Republican candidates like Donald Trump and Ted Cruz;
didn’t they know about America’s involvement on raising “moderate terrorist”
that later turn to monsters?
Perhaps we
need to demand accountability on all horrific activities around us in order to
set the record straight.
